What CarbonZero Certified Cleaning Actually Means

"Eco-friendly" gets printed on a lot of cleaning products. Toitū Net CarbonZero certification is different: it's an independently audited measurement of our whole operation's emissions.

What gets measured

Certification covers the emissions from running the business: vehicles driving between sites, electricity, consumables, waste and travel. Those emissions are measured every year, reduced where we can, and the remainder is offset through verified projects.

What we do day to day

  • Concentrated, low-tox chemicals that cut down on packaging and transport
  • Microfibre systems that use less water and fewer chemicals
  • Route planning so crews spend less time on the road between sites
  • Recycling and correct disposal of consumables

Why it matters to you

Many businesses now report on their supply chain emissions. Choosing a certified cleaning supplier gives you a documented, audited number for that line, instead of an estimate. If you need our certificate for your own reporting, just ask.
